The blues come in many shades and many hues but all spring from the same place – the heart. It’s storytelling. A poor man’s sonnet set to music sprung from the earth and carried on a river.
Steve Lucas & The Rising Tide prefer an ‘Old School approach’ - stripped back, laid bare and built around brushes (Peter Robertson), double bass (Pete Mavric), piano (Bruce Haymes), Guitar and vocals (Steve Lucas). Contributing to the mix, are special guests, the legendary blues harpist, Dave Hogan and the beautiful Joey Bedlam (vocals).
They will be playing songs from the album Cross That Line - blues, tempered with jazz and country overtones - and previewing a whole set of freshly penned tunes, currently being recorded for a release later this year.
