Show Details

The late Nancy Wilson identified herself as a "song stylist", not just a jazz singer but a voice that transcended the tropes of her time. Holding true to this sentiment, Rita Satch brings her vast experience of jazz and soul to the material of one of the greats.

Brought up on jazz and soul greats Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and Nina Simone, Rita Satch's powerful voice has garnered the attention of some of Australia's most renowned musicians, including Mark Fitzgibbon who called Rita "the best singer songwriter to hit the scene in a long time". Rita thrived as a jazz singer and chanteuse, cutting her teeth in the Melbourne scene supporting the likes of Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano, Christine Anu.

A dynamic and versatile performer, Rita brings an electrifying presence on stage, conjuring the iconic swinging sounds of Nancy's work in an authentic tribute.
