Albare Featured On The Cover Of Smooth Jazz Magazine (USA)

Congratulations to our own Albert Dadon AM (Albare), whose photo is on the cover of the January/February 2019 issue of USA magazine, Smooth Jazz . He is interviewed for a feature article, which focuses on Albare's band Urbanity (which he co-leads with pianist Phil Turcio) and the forthcoming release of their second album for Alfi Records, Urbanity.

The interview also covers Albare's background as a musician (including his success as the pioneer of 'acid jazz' in Australia in the late 1980s), and his role as a philanthropist, producer and facilitator for jazz in Melbourne (notably with the Melbourne Jazz festival, and the Bell Jazz Awards), and his involvement in encouraging film and other cultural exchanges between Australia and Israel.

Smooth Jazz is the industry 'bible' for the extensive network of radio stations and CD labels that specialise in music categorised as 'contemporary' or 'smooth' jazz in the USA. You can access the full issue below, with Albare's interview starting on page 37.
