The Venue

Welcome to Bird's Basement, jazz music dinner show venue founded by musician entrepreneur and artistic director Albare. Launched in March 2016 with the support of Ravi Coltrane, Bird's Basement has quickly become Melbourne's pre-eminent jazz destination and a worthy counterpart to the iconic Birdland in New York.

Arriving early? Enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail at the Jazz Corner Hotel Bar located above Bird's Basement at the entrance of 352 William St. The perfect way to start your evening off on a high note!
