Show Details

Joey Vincent (a.k.a. Joe Camilleri) presents  "Old Friends and New Companions”, a preview of the 6th album in the Bakelite Radio series. Join Joe and a select group of players for a deluxe, two hour, one night stand at Bird’s Basement.

The album is dedicated to wonderful musical luminaries sprinkled with new tracks from Nick Smith and Camilleri. Joe describes it as “a romantic notion and a slice of who I am and that heartbreak radio I bang on about...Bakelite Radio is my pressure cooker release from my main squeeze."

Joe started recording as Bakelite Radio in 2000 as a side project to The Black Sorrows (main squeeze). Mining his vast vinyl collection, he selected diverse and even obscure songs to arrange and record.  “To this day as a listener, collector, writer and performer, this music is my go-to when I need a touch of inspiration”.

"One must keep finding a new hat, suit and shoes” Joe Camilleri.
