Jade MacRae is a multi faceted artist who sings with passion and power. Jade was born in the UK to musician parents Joy Yates and Dave MacRae. Upon migrating to Australia her own musical journey began early playing piano and violin, studying at the acclaimed Sydney Conservatorium Of Music, where she would continue through to University level.
Jade discovered a natural affinity for songwriting as a teenager, and after a successful pop/TV career in Australia in the early 2000s, Jade’s dynamic stage presence and talent for vocal arranging would see her share the stage and studio with the likes of James Brown, John Legend, Ray Charles, Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel, Neil Finn, Dave Stewart, George Benson, Renee Geyer, Eric Gales, Larry McRay & Mike Zito to name a few. Since 2015 Jade has been a fixture in the touring and studio band for blues guitar great Joe Bonamassa.
Joe describes Jade as;
“one of the most naturally gifted musicians I have ever encountered. Jade is what you would call a singer’s singer and musician’s musician. It is rare to see the combination of soulfulness and technical dexterity meet in such a great way.”
Jade released her third full length record “Handle Me With Care” in 2020 - a romping throwback 50s R'nB' tinged collection touted by The Guardian as “the perfect comeback vehicle”.
Jade’s latest album “In My Veins” is out now, featuring the singles Out Of Sight (ft Kirk Fletcher), Rose Coloured Glasses, and Early In the Morning (ft Joe Bonamassa).
