Aria Award winning and multi platinum selling recording artist, Gary Pinto has received accolades from Music Legends Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson and is considered one of the greatest Soul and R&B Singers that Australia has produced.
After being invited by Stevie Wonder to sing at his Daughter Sophia’s 16th birthday, Stevie accompanied Gary playing music from one of their favourite artists, Donny Hathaway.
Gary's musical background includes fronting the multi platinum selling band, CDB, widely regarded as pioneers of R&B music in Australia, who reunited to release a record in 2017 through Warner Music.
Gary has also written songs for a number of Australia and International recording artists including Jimmy Barnes, Guy Sebastian, Shaynna Blaze, Sophie Monk, Monrose, Luca Hanni, Anthony Callea, Christine Anu, Mr Timothy, Jade Mcrae, and American Blues Legend Janiva Magness, receiving a Grammy Nomination for his writing on the album, ‘Love Wins Again’. Gary co-wrote the World Youth Day Anthem for 2008 with Guy Sebastian, which was heard by up to 4 billion people worldwide. Gary also wrote the song "Mary McKillop", for Australia's first Canonised Saint, which was used throughout the world to commemorate the event. Gary has written a song with Lil’ John that was featured for Melbourne United’s Basketball Team.
Gary has mentored many of Australia's Recording Artists and worked as Vocal Director on The Masked Singer and The Voice 2021. Gary was also X Factor Australia's Vocal Director and Vocal Director on, ‘All Together Now’. Gary also helped Australia's highest placed Eurovision participant Dami Im with her performance by arranging and coaching Im for the event as well as mentoring Isaiah Firebrace for his 2017 Eurovision performance and accompanied Jessica Mauboy in Portugal throughout Eurovision.
Gary has released an album titled, ‘Gary Pinto, Sam Cooke, The Music’, through Sony Music, available now.
