"Countdown" is the longest-running music show in Australian television history. Created by Ian “Molly” Meldrum and visionary ABC-TV producers, Countdown aired from 1974 to 1987, launching the careers of countless international superstars including Blondie, ABBA, Cyndi Lauper, and many more.

Now, the timeless hits of a generation return to the spotlight in “The Countdown Years” — a high-energy 2-hour live concert experience celebrating the music, the mayhem, and the magic of the Countdown era.

With a dynamic live band, amazing vocalists and no lip-syncing, audiences will be treated to non-stop solid gold and platinum hits by legendary artists such as:
INXS, The Angels, Men at Work, John Paul Young (JPY), Pseudo Echo, Dragon, Mondo Rock, Mental As Anything, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Blondie, Tina Turner, Pat Benatar……
